about

This is a brand new album by the duo of Pete Nolan and Kris Abplanalp. I've been playing with Kris for many many years. We started jamming together in the Louisville, Kentucky free noise ensemble Sapat back in 2001. Kris and I formed VEBB as an electro acoustic ensemble. Kris would usually fill his beige Taurus to the gills with gear for our gigs at Artswatch in old Louisville. Tapes, synths, trombones, acoustic guitars, random clattering objects. Our MO was to go as far out as possible and stay there.

I can thank bandcamp Friday for giving me the impetus to write Kris and ask him to collaborate with me on this release of brand new material. Kris sent me a tape of 4 track recordings. I just recorded my contribution this evening. I feel that this is a representative addition to our particular ouvre. I hope that you can find the right headspace to understand what we're laying down.
