about

This was recorded back in 2008. I had just moved into an apartment in the far reaches of Bushwick with my girlfriend Julie. Our place was above a restaurant called Northeast Kingdom. They used to party till 1 am every night so we didn't give a fuck about making loud music in our apartment. I recall at this point in my life Julie used to encourage me to dress like a Japanese guitar god. I remember hanging around MV Carbon and the West Nile scene at this time too. This record hangs heavy with synth and avant violin influences like Henry Flynt, John Carpenter, and Texas psych like cold sun. This record still feels very dusted and up front to me. This is it's first appearance on the Arbitrary Signs site.
