about

This record finds our 2 weary frontiersman, Kris Abplanalp and myself shuffling around the dusty floorboards of the empty apartment of an arcane estate in the middle of Louisville making minimal with tape loop, a crackling amplifier, shortwave radio, and a one stringed electric guitar. Every night in Louisville lasted forever and this one was no different. I distinctly remember feeling that it was a place that was somehow inescapable. I love Louisville, but I remember towards the end of my 2 year stint there feeling like if I didn't get out soon I never would. For years I had nightmares that I was still there. When I go back to visit now I always think what a nice place it would be to live. The truth is the commonwealth I can't escape is Massachusetts. The food is much worse here and the people far less friendly. In parallel world, I think I'm still there jamming with Abplanalp. I'm guessing Dave Sauter and Matt Mason are in there scouring the floorboards with us too.
